KontaktParty 2023 in Zurich: Fostering Student Passion and Talent

GetYourGuide’s commitment to fostering student talent was on full display at the 2023 Kontaktparty, Switzerland’s largest academic recruiting fair for technical students.  It is the largest academic recruiting fair in Switzerland, held every year. Our tech team is always at the forefront to participate because we believe GetYourGuide is an excellent place for students to hone their skills. 

Ram Manoharan, Senior Tech Recruiter, and Tobias Rein, Co-founder & Backend Engineer, led the charge. GetYourGuide has attended this fair for six to seven years and our team of engineers are always eager to assist and empower young talent. At our table, we encouraged students to take the initiative of asking difficult questions. At GetYourGuide we believe in open communication and welcoming all feedback, which we see as the best way to learn.

This time around, we also arranged various exciting games to learn more about the interested students’ skill sets and let their creative minds run free. Games included Kahoot and spin the wheel, and we also gave out home coding challenges to students for a chance to win a GetYourGuide gift voucher. 

We wanted students to discuss their areas of interest, and to help them explore technical opportunities at GetYourGuide.  During their formative years, students are filled with curiosity and a desire to explore the world around them. At GetYourGuide, we strive to celebrate and support this drive by equipping them with the best tools and resources to fuel their passion and help them reach their full potential.
