How was 2022 for you? At GetYourGuide, we launched innovative new app features, redefined our core values, and strengthened relationships with customers and suppliers. Watch our senior execs reflect on our best year yet, and why there’s much to look forward to in 2023.
GetYourGuide’s journey continued in 2022, as we took exciting steps towards further defining the global experiences category. From bolstering our team of passionate, talented individuals; improving the app’s user experience; to building better relationships with our incredible suppliers, last year was all about strengthening.
Like others, GetYourGuide was hit hard by the pandemic. For a time, the future felt uncertain.
As ever, when it comes to delivering unforgettable experiences we follow our customers' lead. For example, and perhaps because of the uncertainty of the past two years, our consumer research shows that more and more, today’s travelers value flexibility. A Reserve Now Pay Later feature on the GetYourGuide app allows for precisely that flexibility, and was successfully rolled out in 2022.
We also got closer to our suppliers, including the Vatican Museums in Rome who we partnered with to launch a unique experience for our customers in 2022: accompanying the clavigero - or key keeper - on their morning rounds through the museums’ chapels, galleries, and corridors to turn on the lights.
Of course, none of this would have been possible were it not for the people behind the product, and the great company culture we’ve built these past 14 years. 2022 saw us strengthen that, too, with a redefined set of core values that underpin everything we do.
To find out more about our wins these past 12 months, watch CEO Johannes Reck, COO Tao Tao, and a host of GetYourGuide leaders reflect on our 2022 wins, and our vision for what’s set to be a fantastic year ahead.
